John William Sigmon, Jr. of Lynchburg passed away peacefully at his home on September 22, 2021, at the age of 49.
John was born February 25, 1972, in St. Albans, West Virginia to late John and Sylvia (Capehart) Sigmon. He enjoyed whittling wood, watching football and Nascar, but most importantly spending time with his family and being a dad.
Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his infant son John Sigmon III and sisters Kelly Giften and Olivia Sigmon.
He is survived by his devoted wife Christina (Watters) Sigmon, whom he married March 7, 2016; children, Christopher Bolen of Jeffersonville, Jessica “M.Y.F.O.D.” (Cory) Jarrell of New Holland, Dakota Sigmon of Wilmington, Haley (Nick) Woodard of NC, and Caylee (James) King of Sardinia; grandchildren, Zack, Cameron, and Abby Bolen, and Rose Rothery; sisters, Orda (Wayne) Osborne of Chillicothe, Anna Conley of Procious, WV; and his mother and Father-in-Law Karen and Frankie Watters. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral will be held at 10am on Saturday October 2, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9am until the start of the service.
